Better yet — we happily supply all the equipment and terminal tackle you’ll need for your day on the water at no extra cost.
But here’s the best part: We provide some of the best equipment available: Sage and Redington fly rods, Ross reels and Frogg Toggs and Compass 360 hip waders.
Blue Yonder provides the most on-the-water time for your money, offering anglers of all experience levels the best value in guide services in Northern New Mexico.
We’re a fishing operation only and without the crushing cost of a retail location we’re able to provide not only a better overall price point but also furnish everything needed for the day!
Let’s be honest, the overhead of a retail location can be a tough nut to cover; much less multiple locations. Those costs are often passed on to the customer through exorbitant pricing and additional charges for equipment and flies etc. We won’t nickel and dime you. All inclusive!
All you need is your fishing license!

Native New Mexican, Joey Phillips has fished the waters of New Mexico all of his life and has been guiding on his home waters of northern New Mexico for more than three decades including world famous Vermejo Park Ranch as well as internationally in the Tierra del Fuego region of Argentina and Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula.
From the mighty canyons of the Rio Grande and the Cimarron River to the high-mountain streams like the Rio de Los Piños, the Red River and the Rio Costilla and with a myriad of small and even tiny creeks, Northern New Mexico offers an incredibly wide array of fly fishing opportunities from which to choose — 365 days a year!
Abounding with Rio Grande cutthroat, Rainbows, Browns, Brookies and Cutbows, the Taos area provides you with an impressive variety of waters and trout to bring you a memorable and rewarding fly fishing experience.
We also have private water in Southern Colorado on the Conejos river as well as the Upper Culebra river and El Poso creek available courtesy of our friends at Zia Fly Company. Please inquire if interested.
All You Need is Your Fishing License from NM Dept. of Game and Fish.
